Iran: Feeding the Hardline

This stood out for me as a telling scene on a terribly disappointing day for the dissidents in Iran.

The Government not only suppressed most protest but also drew tens of thousands of their own supporters into the streets. That “achievement,” however, is explained in good measure by the two figures and faces above.

People will do a lot of things you ask in exchange for food.
