I’m thankful I wasn’t the one who had to come up with fifteen photos to represent the history of television. But TIME did, on World TV Day about a week back. I do like the opening shot though. Once upon a time, picture quality had everything to do with your fiddling skills with the rabbit ears. And what a tingle of excitement to see that NBC peacock in color. I’m not sure about the other references here, but what I do remember is that, before “cool” became such a ubiquitous phrase, a lot of people used to say “psychedelic!”
