Indelible in Their Own Way

I was compelled to post these specific photos (no, not because of the complimentary color schemes, but) because hi and lo culture have largely achieved parity when it comes to today’s media. Also, the red briefcase of the British Secretary of State for Education and Science looks like it would belong in either photo. And, the way the eventual Prime Minister so confounded the female role (as we’ve already noted) makes this scene not just fabulous but fabulously peculiar.

Bottom line, the world lost two iconic women this week (and I’m disappointed no one had the nerve to do a combined slideshow).
