Gimme Shelter

If the doomed Occupy DC structure was a bad idea, more likely to provoke the police and threaten the future of the physical encampment than anything else, the symbolism is interesting. Even more than a solution to the weather or a shelter for the homeless, though, perhaps the strongest driver for building this thing was the emotional strain, and daily tightrope walk, of living with Occupy’s profound impermanence. I’d say that’s what I mainly take-away from this shout.
