If you think I’m referring to the harvest of food and goods about to be showered on the Palestinians based on the partial easing of Israel’s blockade, well, look again.
What I’m mostly thinking about is Israel’s PR windfall based on the fact the newswires are already bulging with pictures (many current, but some from the file) of trucks filled to abundance heading toward or arriving in the restricted territory.
In this screen grab from the Guardian (grayed-out by The BAG), I’m also interested in the impact of photos over words. Certainly, images of goods arriving and Palestinians nourishing themselves — particular, images of children doing so — are going to have quite an impact no matter how extreme the compromises and manipulations detailed in the words.
