Blackspot on Nike

According to Adbusters, the biggest problem in producing the first anti-corporate, anti-brand, anti-Nike sneaker was finding the right factory. After a world-wide search, they came up with one in Portugal that, they claim, is unionized, has a perfect safety history, pays fair wages, and offers generous paid holidays, free medical care, and an hour-and-a-half lunch break.

Adbusters reports that they have” taken almost 8000 pre-orders for the “worker-friendly, earth-friendly, animal-friendly Blackspot sneaker. They also say that they have over 200 independent stores lined up to sell it.
