Walk Outs and Throw Downs – Our Visual Roundup of the Week

Visually, this was a week of large gestures, and demonstrations of all kinds. The student movement for gun reform kept up the political momentum in a big way with their 17 minute national school walkout. At the White House, the president was in the midst of what could legitimately be called a personnel and policy rampage. With an impulsive Trump tightening his singular control over the Presidency, basically doing every job, new policies (import tariffs, a Trump-Un mano a mano summit) and new firing and hirings dominated the news. (So long to Rex, who will not be missed at the limping State Department, either. But watch out for the Trump-like Pompeo.) And for a touch of class, we note the passing of the brilliant Stephen Hawking.
