Judgement Daze: Our Social Media Weekly Roundup

The major stories this week seemed to all involve critical votes or verdicts. Most reflected badly on the most vulnerable.

The GOP Senate revealed its fast-track healthcare bill which was crafted in secret and will have no public hearings. In spite of the most damning and one-sided set of facts imaginable, the officer who killed Philando Castile was still found innocent of second-degree manslaughter. Although the Republican prevailed, the Ossoff-Handel House race in Georgia demonstrated conservative slippage and ongoing resistance to the status quo. The shock to women and abuse victims continued to reverberate from the Bill Cosby acquittal last Saturday, and the promise to eliminate Planned Parenthood in the health bill rubs further salt in the wound. (It’s also why we think we might see red cloaks in DC this week.) We highlighted two pix that highlighted Trump #notnormal. Finally, in a sentiment that seemed future forward, check out the protest photo from Exeter.
