Our Person of the Year: The Rebel Fighter

Keeping in mind that these year end distinctions are just media fabrications, this is Bag’s pick for Person of the Year. This image, which we came upon in CNN’s best photos of the year list, is the ultimate example of a visual trend we’ve been seeing more and more of. Soldiers and rebel fighters are so aware of the camera now and vice-versa, it’s hard to distinguish the fighter from the actor from the model.

If war is hell, in its downtime it seems to have a whole new GQ layer. More in the realm of coolness, so much for hearts and minds.
