Nostalgic for Anthrax

I liked this so much (via this NYT article), I couldn’t help putting a pen to it. It was taken by  Mladen Antonov of AFP/Getty Images. (AFP being the more global entity, putting foreign eyes on the country right now seems that much more fitting.)  At least, after all the drama this summer, I’m sure the Secret Service has all the entrances secured.

The fact the tourists use CDC Man as a prop (and the caption frames him as “a tourist attraction)” is biting commentary on the domestic hysteria.
