Juxtaposition of the Week: Pakistan Toddler Criminals, Not Bug Splats

Well, let’s say over the last two weeks.

In that stretch of time, two photos from Pakistan featuring children have circulated widely. Above, activist media strives to save Pakistani children from the terrorist-hunting West. Below, Western media calls out the threat to Pakistani toddlers from a touchy government. …Or is that the threat to the government from touchy toddlers? I can’t say I see cultural relationships — perhaps you do, but both photos certainly deal with things that are significantly out-of-scale.
