White House Chef Does Subway!

Why do I love this shot from the latest batch uploaded to White House Flickr? I love the angle of Obama’s, then Kennedy’s head combined with the angle at which Obama in the photo holds his daughter. I also love the little Pete Souza in the mirror.

Beyond that, there is the austerity ploy supposing to empathize with Main Street mired in Recession Land (White House chef does Subway!) and an almost cruel flashback to Obama’s early efforts at bipartisanship stymied by McConnell himself. Breaking bread, indeed!
