The last few NRA photos that hit us dead-on? Well, there was that sexy, sales-y look at the “pretty in pink” 10/22’s at the conference exhibition in 2010 (Sarah Palin opened the program that year) and we also like the kid using the NRA simulator at CPAC three months before. Is this a net of both?
I don’t know if it’s because women have become such a pivot point in the presidential race right now but there is is something really affecting about this photo of 12 year-old Bailey Chappuis. Either way, it’s a shot the NRA has gotta love: girl power meets new fangled killing machine.
And then, she may “not have worked a day in her life,” but Ann Romney (with Mitt less lending support than drawing energy from Ann’s body into his hand) is now making a prominent move to personally narrow Mitt’s gender gap.
Aiming to marshall symbolic forces, I’d say Ann and the eagle (sorry, Callista!) did well by each other.
