After a lead-up week of near-total lunacy, I was grateful to see this story in the NYT. For once, because it’s the anniversary of 9/11 today and because portraits and expressions like this second is still immediate and reminiscent of the days and weeks following the attack, I’ll let the photos speak for themselves … except to point out what you would think would be obvious — that there were Muslims, too, for whom 9/11 was shattering.
