Gov. Sarah Palin’s home church was badly damaged by arson, leading Ms. Palin to apologize if the fire was connected to “undeserved negative attention” the church received during her campaign as the Republican vice-presidential nominee. — NYT

In light of her kittenish (or clownish) relationship with the visual media, photos of the arson attack on Sarah Palin’s church — reminiscent of images of crazies at her campaign rallies — suddenly makes her own hate graphic.

It’s not an effect, however, I expect to last.
